Search for Tenders

Tenderscan was started in 2001 by Mark Townsend, who, as a town planner struggling to find and win government contracts, realised the need for a centralised, searchable database of tender opportunities. From humble beginnings as a one-man, after-hours operation running out of a garage, Tenderscan has grown to a 7-strong team with an operational hub in our office in Observatory, Cape Town.

Despite radical growth in recent years, Tenderscan is still a family company that strives to make its clients feel like family by giving personal attention to every query, suggestion and complaint.

Our Main Service

Tenderscan sources tender notices from over 100 different publication across South Africa. We scan, capture and classify tender notices before adding them to our online database, which is available to paying subscribers. In 2008 over 30 000 tender notices were added to our database.

Auxiliary Services

Apart from our database of live tenders, Tenderscan offers a dedicated Calls for Registration database, a network facility for members, resources for combating fraud in tendering, analysis of relevant procurement legislation, and insight into the latest developments in tendering through our newsletters.

Tenderscan is an equal-opportunity employer committed to transformation in South Africa. Under the current legislation we are classified as an Exempted Micro Enterprise (EME), which makes us exempt from BBBEE scorecard.
